Francia hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Finance, with over 30 years of professional experience in the food and services sectors. She has served for nearly 9 years as the Executive Director of the Costa Rica Food Bank, leading the development of a robust framework for governance, transparency, accountability, strategic planning, and the creation of performance indicators and balanced scorecards. She has worked in Costa Rica for companies such as Demasa (Gruma), Walmart, and the National Insurance Institute (INS). She has been an active member of organizations advocating for the rights of women and Afro-descendant women in Costa Rica.
